    Description

    Part-time Bookkeeper: 25 hours per week, $30-$35 per hour.

    Lower Cape Outreach Council (LCOC), a well-known non-profit organization located in Orleans and serving the Lower and Outer Cape, is seeking a part-time bookkeeper. Responsibilities include daily bookkeeping as well as the monthly reconciliation. This position involves working closely with the Manager of Client Services processing daily financial assistance vouchers and with the Data and Marketing Manager processing and reconciling donations. Responsibilities also include preparing the financial reports for the monthly board meeting and preparing for the annual audit.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Daily processing of operational expenses
    • Daily processing of client financial assistance vouchers with Client Services Manager
    • Daily processing of donations and other deposits
    • Reconcile QuickBooks with the donor database in cooperation with Data and Marketing Manager
    • Monthly account reconciliations
    • Journal entries
    • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and YTD financial reports including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Budget Comparison
    • Assist in grant reporting as needed
    • Set up annual budget spreadsheet
    • Prepare for annual financial audit
    • Maintain an updated financial procedures manual
    • Comply with Financial Policy Manual

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Bookkeeping experience
    • Knowledge of Accounting principles
    • QuickBooks Online
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Non-profit reporting, knowledge of Salesforce
