Oversee finances for a portfolio of national grants from federal agencies including Department of Labor, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and AmeriCorps,
- Collaborate with the Development team to review grant agreements and submit timely financial reports in alignment with grant requirements.
- Partner with Programs Department and ASAS chapters to collect invoices and other documentation related to grant expenditures and monitor spend down
- File reimbursements from federal agencies to ensure timely replenishment of cash flow and record accordingly in Financial Edge
- Collaborate with the Development team to develop grant budgets for new grant proposals.
- Maintain grant compliance and reporting, including outcome measurement and grant budgets—taking responsibility for meeting high standards of effectiveness, timeliness, and completeness, including:
o Monitoring and maintaining funder reporting schedules and requirements.
o Reporting on reimbursements and drawdowns as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on financial, accounting, operational, and analysis experience in a medium-large sized non-profit experience a plus.
- Strong, first-hand knowledge of government grant receivables and invoicing.
- A CPA or a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Ability to be discreet with sensitive information.
- Strong organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication. Strong track record of building relationships with other senior managers and department heads.
- Financial Software, including Financial Edge, Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud software affiliate partners, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Sit for extended periods of the day.
