Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP) is a mission-driven nonprofit committed to ensuring every young person in MA has access to quality mentoring relationships, regardless of who they are or where they live. As the organization advances its impact and growth, we are seeking a strategic, relationship-centered, and highly motivated Director of Advancement to lead revenue generation, strengthen our brand, and work in close partnership with the President & CEO to propel the mission forward.
MMP is a dynamic statewide nonprofit organization and as an affiliate of The National Mentoring Partnership (MENTOR), MMP is part of a national effort that helps grassroots organizations foster quality mentoring relationships by producing research for the field, shaping policy change through advocacy, and driving public awareness on the impact of mentoring for young people.
For more than 30 years MMP has served as an intermediary organization, providing the critical link between national evidence-based research and programs across the State. MMP provides the tools, research, training and best practices adults require to truly show up for youth in a caring and consistent way in schools, community, and workplaces.

Position Summary:
The Director of Advancement serves as the organization’s chief strategist for fundraising, revenue growth, and brand positioning. Responsible for achieving an annual revenue goal of $2.5 million, this leader oversees all development, marketing, and advancement operations.
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Director of Advancement must build and maintain a trusted, collaborative partnership with the executive leadership team - ensuring alignment on priorities, strategy, and organizational advancement. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a challenging funding landscape and is energized by being “boots on the ground” in the community and with stakeholders.
The Director will develop and execute strategies to sustain and grow MMP’s $2.5M revenue goal. The Director will have the direct support of a 2.5 person Advancement team they will supervise, including the Marketing Manager, the Advancement Operations Manager, and the Foundation Manager (part-time). The Director will be responsible for driving innovative solutions to increase philanthropic revenue, build upon MMP’s brand and increase visibility, manage donor and partner relationships, and support organization-wide messaging.
