    Description

    Council for a Livable World and its sister organization the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation seek an experienced accountant to manage accounting functions under the direct supervision of the Controller, with particular concentration, initially, on all reporting for the C4 and its PAC, Council for a Livable World Candidate Fund. The position is completely hands-on. We seek a degreed accountant preferably with 3 to 5 years of experience including financial statements, and would prefer someone with experience with Blackbaud’s Raisers Edge NXT and Financial Edge NXT.

    Position is 30 hours per week and mostly in-office, with full benefits including health insurance, time off and 401k after a year. Salary is $65k.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3-5 years of non-profit accounting experience preferred
    • Minimum 2-year accounting degree
    • Experience with Blackbaud’s Raisers Edge NXT and Financial Edge NXT strongly preferred
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Processing donations to candidates and Council for a Livable World’s affiliated PAC
    • Processing checks and credit card donations
    • Producing/reconciling monthly financial statements including budget analysis
    • Culling lists
    • Producing internal reports for and about contributions to the organizations and endorsed candidates
    • Producing monthly FEC reporting
    • Other responsibilities as directed by Controller and/or Executive Director
