    Description

Purpose of Position: To support Missouri Workers Center's data infrastructure across organizing, civic engagement, and coalition programs. This position will work closely with MWC staff and partner organizations — including MOVE — to ensure clean, reliable data powers our base-building and worker organizing work across the state.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Data Management and Analysis

    • Ensure clean and reliable data is consistently available, including entering, cleaning, and processing data across MWC's work
    • Create and document data management procedures and ensure staff and member leaders follow best practices
    • Maintain activist codes, survey questions, tags, and other data structures
    • Manage, process, and update bulk data imports and exports
    • Support analysis for organizing campaigns, civic engagement programs, and grant reporting

Voter File and Digital Organizing Tools

    • Support MWC and partner organizations in their use of voter file and digital organizing tools, including GetThru, EveryAction, Mobilize, and OpenField
    • Create data structures within tools and troubleshoot account access
    • Cut turf for volunteer and paid canvasses and track voter and member contact
    • Build and load targeted lists as appropriate

    Program Support

    • Support large, in-person events with event check-in and data collection
    • Process and enter data on time to ensure prompt follow-up for organizers
    • Assist with research projects, including the voter file and Missouri Ethics Commission reports
    • Support core civic engagement and organizing infrastructure including text banks, phone banks, and door canvasses
    • Additional data organizing responsibilities as assigned

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • A commitment to building a multi-racial workers movement
    • Attention to detail and timelines; ability to execute complicated sequential steps with rigor and precision, often on a tight deadline
    • Ability to communicate data-related information clearly to audiences without much data background, in both 1:1 and training settings
    • Experience using data in labor, community organizing, or issue-based campaigns
    • Familiarity with electoral and advocacy tools and CRM systems such as EveryAction and NGP
    • Experience with spreadsheets and data manipulation
    • The ability to be on time and work irregular hours, including some nights, weekends, and holidays

    • Employer-paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance
    • Retirement plan with employer match
    • Monthly phone stipend
    • Health & wellness stipend
    • Paid time off
