    Description

    Accounting & Financial Management (~35%)

    • Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping (accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, expense tracking)
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, budget-to-actual)
    • Manage payroll processing and contractor payments
    • Support annual budget development and ongoing budget monitoring
    • Prepare financial documentation for grant reports, audits, and board review
    • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial best practices and relevant regulations
    • Liaise with external bookkeeper/accountant/auditor as needed

    Organizational & Managerial Support (~25%)

    • Support HR functions: onboarding, contractor/vendor agreements, basic personnel recordkeeping
    • Maintain organizational systems (files, calendars, vendor and donor databases)
    • Assist with board meeting logistics, materials, and minutes
    • Help manage organizational compliance filings (state/federal nonprofit filings, insurance, contracts)
    • Coordinate logistics for events, trainings, and partner meetings
    • Support general office/operations management, including vendor and service agreements

    Grant Writing & Development (~40%)

    • Research and identify funding opportunities across nonprofit, public health, legal aid, and academic/research funding sources
    • Draft and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and renewal applications
    • Write and compile grant reports (narrative and financial) for current funders
    • Track grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations
    • Support development of academic/research grant components (e.g., forensic evaluation training, medical-legal partnership research) in collaboration with clinical leadership
    • Maintain a grants calendar and funder relationship tracking system
    • Assist with donor communications and fundraising campaign materials as needed

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 3+ years of experience in nonprofit finance/bookkeeping, operations, or grant writing (a combination is ideal)
    • Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements and/or managing organizational budgets
    • Demonstrated experience writing and/or managing grant proposals and reports
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and standard office/productivity tools
    • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent responsibilities
    • Alignment with CPRC's mission and commitment to serving immigrant and asylum-seeking communities

    Preferred:

    • Experience with public health, legal aid, or academic/research grant funders (e.g., foundations, HRSA, NIH subcontracts, bar foundations)
    • Experience working with fiscally sponsored organizations or small nonprofit budgets
    • Familiarity with immigration, legal services, or medical-legal partnership models
    • Experience supporting board governance or compliance processes
