    Director of Partnerships

    Feel Good Action is searching for a Director of Partnerships to lead our strategic partnership program and expand our network of mission-aligned organizations. If you're the right fit for this role, you have leadership experience developing partnership strategies and programs. You have strong experience and relationships with a wide spectrum of nonprofits, advocacy groups, and political organizations.

    PLEASE NOTE: This position will also support partnership efforts for Feel Good Impact and Feel Good Power, sister organizations that are mission-aligned with Feel Good Action.

    Position Summary

    This is an exciting opportunity for someone familiar with the nonprofit and/or political advocacy landscape. If this position is a good fit for you, then you must be passionate about creating a better world and share our values () for advancing a healthy society and sustainable planet. You must work and learn with a dynamic team that embraces experimentation and data to uncover innovative solutions.

    You will collaborate closely with our Executive Director and Director of Programming and other departments. You will lead and grow the Partnership Team, hiring, training and motivating new staff as funding allows. You will be starting with a strong body of work already accomplished. You will have existing assets, including a network of 75+ current partners and Feel Good Action's expansive networks in the nonprofit and advocacy space.

    Ideal Skills, Experience, and Qualities

    • 5+ years of team management experience with 2+ years of experience in nonprofit partnership development.
    • Ability to hire, motivate, and manage a highly productive team around a common vision.
    • Demonstrated success in business development. Ability to create programs, offerings, and platforms are compelling and successful for partner organizations.
    • Ability to “sell” new programs to partners, funders, management and team members.
    • Expertise in relationship management positions with a strong understanding of partnership programs.
    • Major plus if you have existing connections and relationships in the political and/or nonprofit spaces that are mission-aligned to FGA, with the possibility of collaboration
    • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote/virtual team environment
    • Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of an agile, fast-paced organization
    • Experience using CRM systems such as EveryAction
    • Experience using team collaboration software, such as: Slack, Asana, Google Suite
    • Ability to break down high-level strategic goals into manageable tasks
    • Strong existing network within nonprofit, political advocacy, and/or social justice organizations
    • A history with a high level of personal accountability, compassion, respect, ethical standards, and genuine interest in the well-being of others

    Work

    • This is a full-time remote position with benefits including healthcare and time off.
    • Annual Compensation range is between $88,000 to $95,000 base salary with possible annual bonus.

Please provide concrete numbers wherever possible."

    • Partnership "Sales" & Value Proposition

    "Tell me about a time when you had to 'sell' a new partnership initiative or program to skeptical organizations or internal stakeholders. What was the program? Why were they hesitant? How did you craft your pitch and overcome objections? What was the outcome, and how many organizations ultimately participated?"

    • Team Building & Management for Partnerships

    "Describe your experience hiring and managing a partnerships team. How many direct reports have you managed? What specific processes or systems did you implement to keep the team productive and aligned? Give me an example of how you've coached someone on your team through a challenging partner relationship or helped them close a difficult partnership."

    • Network & Relationship Leverage

    "This role requires existing relationships in the nonprofit, political advocacy, or social justice space. Please describe 3-5 specific organizations or leaders you have strong relationships with who would be potential partners for Feel Good Action's mission. How did you develop these relationships?
