Description
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of all marketing projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, on schedule, within budget, and with high quality to meet project objectives. This role acts as a liaison among marketing managers, creative teams, internal staff, and external vendors while setting expectations and monitoring project timelines and workloads.
This role is a 3-4 month contract, $42-$45 per hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the timely delivery of all marketing projects, ensuring they align with business goals and remain within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, wireframes, and workflow analysis.
- Collaborate with business owners to understand business goals and objectives for projects.
- Coordinate incoming marketing requests, assign projects to appropriate staff, and ensure progress to completion.
- Manage project workflows among Marketing, Creative, Design, and Digital teams, working with leadership to ensure process efficiencies.
- Assess project risks continuously, escalate issues as needed, and provide solutions-oriented approaches to maintain schedules.
- Facilitate information flow among all project participants and work independently with project teams, SMEs, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Communicate project scope, goals, and success metrics to the project team.
- Create and manage project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project, Asana, Smartsheet, to outline tasks, milestones, dependencies, and resources.
- Establish rapport with business owners by providing consultative project management services.
- Prepare timely and accurate status reports for executive leadership, project sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Manage projects within the approved budget and monitor change requests for budget impacts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge
- Awareness of industry best practices and systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum), and desire to deepen responsibilities within these areas of expertise.
- Understanding of marketing, creative services, and design operations.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong project management skills, proficient in using project management software like Asana.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to lead projects independently and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience
- A four-year college degree in a related field is preferred.
- PMP or Scrum certification are a plus, or a desire to obtain one of these certifications.
- Experience with HubSpot or similar marketing automation tools and Salesforce.com or other CRM systems.
