    Description

    The Pro Football Retired Players Association (PFRPA) is seeking a dynamic Member Associate to support member communications and provide exceptional customer service. The Associate’s day-to-day work will involve serving as the initial point of contact for member inquiries. The full-time employee will work closely with the Director of Member & Donor Relations to promote the organization to retired NFL players, driving active recruitment through online engagement and on-site efforts at Association events. This candidate will be required to perform administrative responsibilities in an efficient, timely and professional manner. The Associate must be strategic, dependable, highly motivated and possess a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will be able to exercise sound judgment and add value, while furthering the organization’s mission and goals.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Support implementation of the Association’s member engagement strategies
    • Develop and cultivate members’ relationships with the Association by providing timely responses for member inquiries; addressing members’ needs; and extending exceptional customer service
    • Track member requests from start to finish and offer effective resolutions
    • Produce key deliverables for projects that support and enhance member engagement
    • Draft and refine member communications to drive engagement and build awareness
    • Organize internal documents and spreadsheets to support membership team workflows
    • Assist with optimization and maintenance of internal files
    • Track and manage key information to support Association’s long-term member initiatives
    • Support the Director of Member & Donor Relations with overall membership recruitment, engagement and retention
    • Communicate proactively and effectively with current members on all aspects of the organization
    • Assist with Board meetings, presentations and special events
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in nonprofit management, business administration and/or sports management; master’s degree preferred
    • Two to four years of relevant experience with member associations and/or nonprofit organizations
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, interacting effectively with individuals across various levels
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
    • Effective time management skills
    • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and Google Workspace
    • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or CRMs
