    Description

    Brave New Films is looking for an organized, experienced Associate Producer with basic editing skills to support our documentary and short-form video projects. This is a hands-on role involving editing, production coordination, research, and administrative support.

    The Associate Producer will help maintain schedules, calendars, deadlines, production documents, and project trackers; coordinate meetings and production logistics; conduct research; work on interviews and shoots; and provide basic post-production support, including stringouts and selects and sometimes more.

    Responsibilities

    • Editing: Create basic stringouts and selects and more if able.
    • Organize production files, documents, and contact information
    • Conduct in-depth research for documentary and social media projects
    • Take basic ideas and convert into beatsheets/outlines/scripts

    Qualifications

    Production or media experience is absolutely required. We are looking for someone who has actually worked on film, video, journalism, documentary, or related projects.

    Candidates should have:

    • Basic video editing experience
    • Strong research and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment and hard work
    • Interest in social justice documentary filmmaking

    Position Details

    Salary: Starting at $60,000/year with possible increase based on previous experience/salary

    Employment: Regular Full-Time, Exempt
