    Description

    The Fort Recovery is a non-profit organization enabling and managing clubhouse space to support recovery from alcohol and drug addiction in Northern Colorado.

    We are looking for a Fundraiser Manager who will drive financial sustainability by identifying, cultivating, and stewarding donors. Key responsibilities include creating fundraising strategies, writing grant proposals, managing donor databases, organizing campaigns/events, and analyzing campaign results to meet revenue goals. The ideal candidates have strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Build and maintain relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors to secure long-term support.
      • Grant Writing: Research potential funding sources, write, and submit grant proposals and funding applications.
      • Campaign and Event Management: Plan and execute fundraising events (e.g., galas, walks, etc.) and direct mail or online campaigns.
      • Database Management: Maintain accurate donor records, track donations, and send acknowledgement receipts/thank you notes.
      • Strategy and Reporting: Develop annual fundraising plans, monitor goals, and prepare reports for the Board of Directors.
      • Communication: Create engaging materials, including newsletters, annual reports, and social media content to promote awareness.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

      • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to connect with people, build rapport, and persuade.
      • Communication: Excellent written (grant writing) and verbal skills.
      • Organization: Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and database records.
      • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify new funding opportunities and trends.
      • Experience: Previous experience in fundraising, sales, or volunteer management is often required.

    This individual can create a fundraising committee to assist in carrying out all the fundraising activities. This position will report to the Board of Directors.

    Compensation: $500/month with significant increases possible as the organization’s revenue increases. The Fundraising Manager will be reimbursed for documented and Board approved non-profit related expenses, including mileage at the federal mandated rate.
