    Description

    Immigration Attorney – Minimum Two Years Immigration Experience, Spanish/English Bilingual Preferred.

    Since 1986, the AIDS Center of Queens County, Inc. (ACQC) has provided HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and advocacy for individuals throughout NYC. ACQC’s Legal Services Program represents clients in a wide range of civil matters including housing, social security disability, HRA public benefits, immigration, and advance directives.

    ACQC seeks a Part-time Immigration Staff Attorney with experience to provide direct representation to immigration clients. Must have experience in representing clients in immigration court and be able to independently handle immigration matters from intake through resolution. Must possess excellent organizational & time-management skills.

    Provide legal representation and assistance for a range of cases, including:

      • Citizenship
      • Green card applications and renewals
      • Asylum
      • Assistance in filling out immigration forms
      • Deportation and removal

    Required Qualifications for part-time Immigration Staff Attorney

    • Admission to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction in good standing, preferably NYS
    • Client-centered approach to representation
    • Motivated to represent a diverse clientele
