    Description

    Requirements:

      1. Fluent Spanish & English (written and spoken) with strong communication and reporting skills.
      2. Minimum five years of experience managing or supervising conservation, environmental or sustainable development projects.
      3. Academic background in Environmental Sciences, Conservation, Economics, Social Sciences or related fields, with an interdisciplinary understanding of both natural and social systems. The candidate should demonstrate knowledge of conservation and sustainable development, as well as an understanding of socio-economic dynamics that influence conservation outcomes. Background or strong interest in biology and ecology is desirable.
      4. Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating conservation initiatives, including the development and fundraising for medium- to large-scale conservation projects (USD 250,000+).
      5. Demonstrated experience implementing conservation strategies for endangered species, habitat conservation and restoration, and biodiversity monitoring programs.
      6. Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to design, scale, and expand conservation programs and projects.
      7. Experience collaborating with NGOs, communities, government institutions and international partners is an asset.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Program Leadership and Strategy (40%)

    Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Armonía’s conservation programs. Develop and implement strategies for threatened species, habitat conservation and ecosystem restoration. Support research, monitoring and conservation actions in priority areas.

    1. Team Leadership and Program Coordination (40%)

    Supervise conservation staff and coordinate project implementation to ensure effective collaboration and progress across programs.

    1. Partnerships and Fundraising (10%)

    Strengthen partnerships with national and international conservation organizations and donors. Contribute to the development and fundraising of conservation projects and proposals.

    1. Public Relations for Armonía and Reporting (10%)

    Represent the organization in conservation initiatives and professional meetings. Support institutional reporting and perform other duties related to the position as assigned by the Executive Director.
