Job Title: Coordinator, Philanthropy
Department: Philanthropy
Reports To: Senior Director, Philanthropy
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
SUMMARY OF PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Coordinator, Philanthropy plays a key role in supporting and coordinating the organization’s individual, corporate, and foundation fundraising efforts.The Coordinator will report to the Senior Director, Philanthropy, as well as work closely with board members and volunteers, to advance strategic fundraising initiatives and strengthen donor relationships.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED (unless stated otherwise)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret proposals, special services agreements, basic legal documents and simple instructions.Ability to write emails, memorandums and letters for internal and external communications. Ability to comprehend and aid in composing request for proposals, purchase orders, matrix on comparing proposals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to volunteers and staff of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPENSATION
Annual compensation $54,000 to $62,000, including comprehensive medical benefits and retirement plan.
