    Position Description:

We’re looking for our next incredible Manager of Support Groups, who is creative and has a can-do attitude. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting things done, you’ll likely be a great fit. We’re looking for an experienced peer (an individual living with a mental health challenge OR a family member of someone living with a mental health challenge) who is passionate about supporting this community. Someone who can punch above their weight.

You have respect and compassion for individuals and families affected by mental illness. Alongside the Support Groups Coordinator, you will oversee and supervise 30+ support groups for people living with mental health issues as well as their families/supporters. You will manage the delivery of one of the most important mental health messages to New Yorkers — You are not alone; NAMI-NYC is here for you.

In addition to overseeing the Support Groups program, you will work collaboratively with the entire programs and services team and the larger NAMI-NYC staff to advance programmatic strategic goals. We are a close-knit team of over 30 staff members. The programs and services team takes pride in being the heart and soul of the organization.
