    Description

    Studio in a School (Studio) is seeking an experienced Digital Learning & Curriculum Manager (Manager) to

    develop, maintain, and refine curriculum and delivery models across various learning programs. The Manager

    will provide arts learning insight and expertise. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for designing,

    implementing, and refining new programs and/or course offerings based on market, data, best practices, and

    academic trends across in-person, virtual, and eLearning experiences. The Manager will also support in person residencies and teacher workshops in the NY Metropolitan area.

    The Manager is expected to have a deep understanding of instructional design models and curriculum

    mapping, as well as the ability to create cohesive and articulated learning outcomes across grade levels,

    learning frameworks, and professional development formats. The Manager will also be responsible for

    collaborating with leadership to set program goals, evaluate existing programming and market to new and

    existing partners. Our ideal candidate has a proven ability to lead professional development sessions and

    training workshops and strong analytical abilities to interpret data and make informed curriculum

    adjustments.

    The Digital Learning & Curriculum Manager will report to the Senior Director of Programs who oversees Digital

    Learning. This is a full-time, non-union position.

    About Studio in a School

    Studio in a School fosters the creative and intellectual development of young people through quality visual

    arts programs, directed by professional artists, arts and cultural internships, and apprentice-based learning

    in the arts. The organization also collaborates with and develops the ability of those who provide or

    support arts programming and creative development for young people both in and outside of schools.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage the implementation and development of new curriculum delivery models and learning resources as needed.
    • Ensure a high-quality learner experience across our website, Learning Management System (LMS), and other assets to support successful learner journeys and certification attainment (when applicable).
    • Partner with teachers, artists, vendors, graphic designers, and filmmakers to create engaging content.
    • Build strong relationships with operational colleagues and external partners.
    • Collaborate with internal and external team members to leverage analytics tools and techniques to measure success, present opportunities, and support decision-making and prioritization of Curriculum and Outreach.
    • Collaborate with Teaching and Learning staff to plan and implement internal and external in-person and virtual trainings and workshops to address areas of need.
    • Support in-school programs, including but not limited to providing support and feedback to Artist Instructors, facilitating planning meetings, and ensuring fidelity to program models.
    • Collaborate with supervisor to oversee budgets and external contracts related to Digital Learning.
    • Attend exhibition/networking/community events, as necessary.

    Desired Skills and Background

    Education and Experience

    • Master’s Degree in Art Education, Visual Art, Design or related field
    • 3-5 years experience teaching and developing curriculum for the Visual Arts.
    • Technology proficiency, including experience with Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Google Classroom, etc.).
    • Working knowledge of assessment platforms and analytics tools.
    • Familiarity with artmaking and art materials.
    • Familiarity with teaching students with disabilities and/or Multilingual Learners is a plus.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management.
    • Strong business acumen.

    • Able to complete NYC Department of Education Fingerprint and Background Check Clearance upon employment.

    Location

    We are currently working on a hybrid schedule. The Digital Learning & Curriculum Manager will be asked to

    work at least 2 days per week in our office at 75 West End Avenue, New York, NY, though this schedule may

    shift and evolve. Travel to schools and partner sites in the NY Metropolitan area required on a regular basis.

    Hours

    As a member of the administrative staff, the Digital Learning & Curriculum Manager is expected

    to work from 9 AM to 5 PM each scheduled workday. Any schedule shift request must be

    requested in advance and receive approval from the supervisor.

    Salary
