    Description

    CLA seeks a Fair Housing Testing Coordinator to join an enthusiastic, skillful team that is working on housing discrimination issues. The position is based in CLA's Worcester office. The Coordinator will conduct community outreach about fair housing rights; provide litigation support for the fair housing unit; recruit and train fair housing testers; design tests; and assist with grant-writing and reporting. The Coordinator must occasionally be available to work outside normal business hours to conduct outreach and to debrief testers.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
    • Experience as a paralegal or supporting litigation strongly preferred.
    • Experience in volunteer coordination or housing advocacy preferred.
    • Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to set priorities; manage multiple tasks; meet deadlines; and strategize, plan and implement programmatic initiatives.
    • Demonstrated ability to engage in detailed and thorough record-keeping for reporting to funders. Prior experience preparing grant reports is desirable.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience working effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
    • Ability to work independently and to support team efforts.

    COMPENSATION:

    • The starting salary for this position is $53,140, which is based on a union scale and adjusted upward depending on experience.
    • CLA has a hybrid work environment and requires staff to work in the office at least three days per week.
