    The Support Services functions at S:US are carried out by a team of professionals with differing backgrounds who share deeply in the S:US mission.     The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Department is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and reliable individual to join our FP&A Team as a Senior Financial Analyst. The selected candidate will report to the Manager of FP&A and will be responsible for annual budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Creation and monitoring of the annual budget

    • Key contributor to annual budgeting process. Specifically focus on revenue, OTPS and personnel expenses as well as headcount allocations
    • Master budget templates in Adaptive Insights
    • Prepare forecasts by analyzing past trends and accounting for future changes/additions to programs

    Variance reporting and analysis

    • Compare and analyze actual results with prior year data, budgets and forecasts
    • Ability to run reports across multiple financial and reporting systems like NAV and Adaptive Insights

    Reporting and deliverables

    • Develop new reports in Adaptive Insights and assist in Office Connect reporting
    • Responsible for gathering data and preparing deliverables like FTE reporting
    • Effectively present and communicate results to the leadership

    Process Improvement

    • Ability to review current processes and implement efficiencies
    • Ability to create new processes for new requests

    Ad-hoc reporting and analysis

    • Reconcile financial and payroll data in Adaptive Insights to Accounting and payroll systems
    • Ability to work with large data sets
    • Comprehend business need for ad-hoc projects and present findings to the manager

    KEY PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

    • Financial Analysis skills – Knowledge of analyzing financial statements, and preparing budgets, forecast and business plans.
    • Data Analytics skills – Proficiency in working with large datasets and ability to analyze, summarize, and present data findings.
    • Reporting skills – Ability to generate and modify reports across financial and reporting platforms like NAV, Adaptive Insights, and MS Excel.
    • Mentoring – Ability to mentor and train team members.
    • Business Acumen – Ability to comprehend business need for a report or analysis. Must be able to present findings in a clear and concise manner to aid prompt decision making.
    • Communication skills – Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and managers of all levels throughout the organization.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting – CPA or MBA preferred
    • 5-7 years of proven experience – understanding of Medicaid and Grants desired
    • Excellent communication skills – ability to present financial data to business owners
    • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel creating models and using advanced formulas
    • Knowledge of Adaptive Insights, MS Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms strongly preferred
    • Knowledge Advanced Navigator (NAV) helpful
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data
    • Strong attention to detail
