Black Women for Wellness (BWW) is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and mission-driven Project Manager, Civic Engagement to support voter education, community organizing, and civic engagement initiatives throughout San Joaquin County.

Our Civic Engagement Program works to increase the electoral and political power of Black women through year-round voter education, voter registration, community outreach, and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts. What You'll Do

As the Project Manager, you'll coordinate the planning and implementation of civic engagement projects while supporting community outreach, volunteer engagement, and strategic partnerships. You'll help ensure initiatives stay on track, meet deadlines, and create meaningful opportunities for community members to participate in the democratic process.

Key responsibilities include:

• • Coordinate voter education, voter registration, and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaigns.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate phone banking, canvassing, volunteer activities, and community outreach.
  • Organize meetings, coalition convenings, trainings, and community events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Track project outcomes and support voter data management and reporting.
  • Provide administrative and project coordination support across the Civic Engagement Program.

What You’ll Bring

• • At least 3 years of project coordination or project management experience, preferably in nonprofit, advocacy, civic engagement, or government settings.
  • Experience coordinating community outreach, volunteer engagement, or public-facing initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Trello, or similar tools.
  • Experience with databases and reporting systems; familiarity with VAN, PDI, or other voter databases is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • A strong commitment to civic engagement, equity, and social justice.
  • Willingness to travel throughout San Joaquin County and work occasional evenings and weekends to support community events and voter engagement activities.
