    This job description is a broad outline of the responsibilities and duties of the Domestic

    Violence Resource Advocacy Coordinator and will be amended, as needed, to meet the

    program priorities of Women Aware, Inc. (the “Agency”) and its ensuing work requirements.

    It should not be construed as a contract and does not create a contract of employment.

    Employment with the Agency is at will.

    Reports to: Director of Residential Services

    Status: Non-Exempt

    Qualifications:

    • Full Time, M-F, evenings as needed
    • BA/BS in the social services field
    • Domestic Violence experience, preferred
    • Bilingual-Spanish preferred
    • Excellent crisis intervention, case management, and organizational skills required
    • Driver’s license – clean and valid
    • Lifting to 25lbs

    General Responsibilities:

    In collaboration with the Director of Residential Services and support of the Residential

    team, the DV Resource Advocacy Coordinator oversees the services delivery of the 24-hour

    crisis hotline. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

    • Provide a safe, non-judgmental, and mission-centered environment.
    • Work collaboratively with Agency staff and community agencies to facilitate the

    delivery of services.

    • Supervise the advocacy services response to survivors of domestic violence calling the

    crisis hotline.

    • Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and linkage to services in accordance with

    accepted standards of care, ethics of the profession and the Agency’s confidentiality

    policy.

    • Provides regular supervision to the per diem staff in conjunction with the Assistance

    Director of Residential services.
