    Description

    Position Summary

    Trinity Lutheran Church & Schools is seeking a Relational Ministries Coordinator to help foster connection, belonging, and community within our congregation. This part-time position serves as the welcoming face of the church, guiding guests from their first visit to active participation while equipping volunteers and ministry leaders to create a warm, inclusive, Christ-centered environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Welcome guests and coordinate hospitality ministries.
    • Provide timely follow-up with first-time visitors.
    • Create pathways for guests to connect with pastors, ministry leaders, small groups, and volunteer opportunities.
    • Lead "Connect with Trinity" sessions and support new members during their first year.
    • Help individuals discover their spiritual gifts and connect them with meaningful ministry opportunities.
    • Partner with ministry leaders to strengthen volunteer engagement and develop new relational ministries.
    • Support small groups, fellowship opportunities, and pastoral care connections.
    • Maintain visitor records and coordinate volunteer background checks.
    • Collaborate with pastors, staff, and communications to strengthen congregational engagement.
    • Participate in weekly staff meetings.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    • Strong Christian faith and passion for helping people grow in relationship with Jesus and one another.
    • Knowledge of church life; ELCA Lutheran experience is a plus.
    • Experience leading small groups or volunteer teams.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
    • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.
    • Comfortable maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.
