    Position Summary

    The Senior Individual Giving Officer / Major Gifts Officer is a strategic and relationship-driven fundraiser responsible for leading and growing Girls’ LEAP’s individual giving program, with a strong emphasis on major gifts.

    This role owns a portfolio of donors and prospects, develops and executes a fundraising strategy, and is accountable for meeting ambitious revenue goals. The position also plays a key role in designing and executing high-impact donor engagement opportunities, including in-person and virtual events.

    This is a part-time leadership role ideal for an experienced fundraiser who thrives on building authentic relationships and driving measurable impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership & Revenue Ownership

      • Develop and execute a comprehensive individual giving strategy, including major gifts, mid-level giving, and annual fund
      • Own and achieve $200,000+ in annual individual giving revenue through major gifts, donor engagement, and fundraising events. This includes building and managing a portfolio of donors and prospects, leading personalized solicitations, and leveraging both
      • Build and manage a robust donor pipeline, from identification through solicitation and stewardship
      • Partner with the Executive Director and the Board to strengthen a culture of philanthropy

    Major Gifts Portfolio Management

      • Manage a portfolio of ~50–100 major gift donors and high-capacity prospects.
      • Develop individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans
      • Lead donor meetings, proposals, and gift solicitations (5- and 6-figure gifts as appropriate)
      • Track donor engagement and progress toward revenue goals

    Fundraising Events (In-Person & Virtual)

      • Design and lead strategy for fundraising events, including donor receptions, house parties, and virtual campaigns
      • Partner with staff and board to leverage events for donor acquisition and major gift cultivation
      • Oversee event fundraising goals, sponsorship strategy, and donor follow-up
      • Ensure events are mission-driven and aligned with revenue objectives

    Donor Engagement & Communications

      • Collaborate on high-quality donor communications, including proposals, impact reports, and personalized outreach
      • Develop compelling cases for support aligned with Girls’ LEAP’s programs and growth goals
      • Ensure consistent, meaningful donor stewardship and recognition

    Board & Leadership Engagement

      • Partner with Executive Director and Board members to identify, cultivate, and solicit donors
      • Support and coach board members in fundraising activities
      • Prepare briefing materials and talking points for donor meetings
