Los Angeles World Affairs Council & Town Hall

The Los Angeles World Affairs Council & Town Hall (LAWACTH) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit speaker's organization dedicated to educating the people of Los Angeles on global and domestic affairs through speaking programs, cultural events, and a robust education program. LAWACTH encompasses the storied history of the former LA World Affairs Council and Town Hall LA, who were both united in their missions to provide global and civic engagement to Angelenos for nearly 100 years.

The organization has hosted 250+ foreign heads of state, US Presidents, prominent thought and business leaders, and is the largest nonprofit speaker's organization in Southern California. LAWACTH produces about 60 events per year on topics that span industries like politics, economics, culture, entertainment, technology, foreign policy, and more. As a membership organization, we also produce select VIP and Members Only events for our varying membership levels. LAWACTH's mission is to "bring the world to Los Angeles, and bring Los Angeles to the world."
