History The Marines of the Palouse was formed in the Spring of 2012. Ted Owens, Matt Decker, Brady Anderson and Mack Anderson are all originally from Moscow, Idaho. We all graduated from Moscow High School within a few years of each other and we all joined the Marine Corps within a short span as well. We have made some great additions to our group in Earl Aldrich, Tracy Young, Josh Steadman, Jefferson Griffith and Ryan Svoboda and we continue to add 'Hard Chargers' monthly. The reason Marines of the Palouse was formed was that there was no Marine Corps Ball and we wanted to celebrate our birthday in the traditional manner. We then incorporated with a 501c3, and decided to create a non-profit organization. The reason for the non-profit status was to raise money for a scholarship fund for needy veterans and to find ways to give back to the community we love so much! As Marine veterans we are also striving to provide veterans with assistance. With an increasing number of PTSD and TBI cases coming back home, we are looking to provide an outlet and even outdoor therapy to try and help out our comrades. We are currently reaching out to outdoor guiding companies to help provide rafting, fishing and hunting trips and are looking to organize mountain biking day trips so there is an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Palouse Region.
