  • About Us

Who we are: Founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1996, we are a ministry of sisters and collaborators of all spiritual traditions passionate about ecological solidarity and enhancing right relationships among humanity, Earth and all this is.

Why we are: An international community of religious women, the School Sisters of Notre Dame, deeply conscious of the fact that the very future of Earth itself is at stake, articulate a call to solidarity with all creation in their formal documents.

Responding to this and the global call put forth by the Earth Chapter, a document formally endorsed by organizations representing millions of people throughout the world, the Center for Earth Spirituality and Rural Ministry exists to work collaboratively toward a sustainable future for all.
