LISC Affordable Housing Preservation Initiative

  • About Us

LISC's Affordable Housing Preservation Initiative works to address the physical, economic and environmental sustainability of affordable rental housing while preserving long-term affordability. The initiative focuses on affordable rental housing that is at risk due to a variety of threats, including conversion to market rate housing, expiring rent and mortgage subsidies and regulatory agreements (including tax credit agreements), and physical distress. It supports preservation transactions with technical and financing support to LISC's field offices and nonprofit developers, provides information resources and guides, and promotes national preservation policies. For more information see www.lisc.org/preservation.
