About Us

Junior Achievement (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success. Our volunteer-delivered, K-12 programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire kids to dream big and reach their potential. Through an innovative partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers, JA helps young people connect with relevant learning and the importance of staying in school. JA inspires students to develop competitive skills and confidence.

Everyone who participates in Junior Achievment has a unique opportunity to benefit from the program.

  • Students learn skills such as how to get a job, how to manage their finances and how to start a business. They also learn the relationship between education and workplace success.
  • Volunteers develop a sense of community and social responsibility all while enhancing their coaching, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Organizations gain direct involvement in local education and positive visibility in the community.

Volunteers receive training, support and materials for this unique opportunity. For as little as an hour a week, volunteers make a difference in the lives of young people in our community.
