Brooklyn For Peace
Mission
Brooklyn For Peace (founded in 1984 as Brooklyn Parents for Peace) is a diverse network of Brooklyn residents working for the elimination of war and the social injustices which give rise to it.
About Us
In response to the militarism of U.S. and its impact on the lives of people around the world, Brooklyn For Peace organizes community meetings and forums, sets up information tables, participates in phone, email and petition campaigns, meets with elected officials and participates in demonstrations.
We are a democratically functioning non-partisan group which provides opportunities for Brooklyn residents to work for peace and social justice in ways that can accommodate busy schedules. We believe, when given the right tools, ordinary people will change the world.
