    About Us

Assisting Individuals in Need (AIIN) is a community-rooted nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship, homelessness, recovery, reintegration after incarceration, and other vulnerable transitions.

Founded on the belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity for a better future, AIIN meets people where they are — offering practical resources, direct outreach, and community-driven programs that rebuild lives and foster long-term stability.

    Our Core Values:

    • Dignity: We believe every individual deserves to be treated with respect and humanity, regardless of their circumstances.
    • Compassion: We approach every person’s journey with empathy, care, and a commitment to truly listening.
    • Empowerment: We focus on building self-sufficiency and confidence, offering tools and opportunities for people to regain control over their lives.
    • Integrity: We act transparently, responsibly, and with full accountability to those we serve and our partners.
    • Community Collaboration: We work hand-in-hand with local organizations, volunteers, and individuals with lived experience to ensure our services are relevant, impactful, and sustainable.

    Who We Serve:

    • Individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity
    • People in recovery from substance use or mental health challenges
    • Formerly incarcerated individuals reentering society
    • Low-income households facing economic hardship
    • Youth and young adults needing support with education, employment, or life skills

    What We Do:

    • Resource Distribution: Providing essentials like hygiene kits, weatherization supplies, clothing, and energy-saving materials.
    • Outreach Programs: Bringing support services directly to shelters, transitional housing, senior centers, and public spaces.
    • Skills and Empowerment Workshops: Offering workshops on energy savings, employment readiness, financial literacy, and wellness.
    • Community Events: Hosting activities that promote inclusion, hope, and community awareness, from softball leagues for youth on the autism spectrum to arts-based recovery programs.
    • Advocacy and Awareness: Raising public understanding around homelessness, recovery, and reintegration challenges, and championing policies that promote equity.

At AIIN, we don't just deliver services — we build bridges of hope, trust, and opportunity for individuals working to change their lives.
