WHO WE ARE
I CAN is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), community based literacy organization founded by a former Hillsborough County Schools Adult Educator in 2002 to improve literacy in Hillsborough County. The organization is governed by a board of directors, financially directed by a certified public accountant, and managed by an executive director. I CAN Adult Learning Program opened in September 2003 to provide non-traditional, adult education services. In January 2007, I CAN opened an intensive education program for low-performing high school youth in collaboration with Hillsborough County Schools.
We empower adults and older youth by providing them high-quality, comprehensive education and training programs to enable them to succeed in higher education, the workplace, the community and in society.
