Sushi, A Center for the Urban Arts, was founded in 1980 and has become a nationally-known non-profit performing and visual arts venue. Our mission is to cultivate alternative voices in the contemporary arts and provide a laboratory where creative exploration, community engagement, and new ideas flourish. In 2009, Sushi opened a new 6,500 square foot performance, gallery, and office space in San Diego’s East Village neighborhood at 11th and J.
