Compassionate Hands

  • Mission

Continue to offer safe & warm winter shelters in Wilson County churches. As we gain the trust of shelter guest, invite them to walk with a mentor through training that leads to a better life.

    About Us

In 2012, a group of Christians set out to make sure nobody froze to death in Wilson County. We opened shelters in eight churches in December 2013, and it has been amazing to watch God's work unfold.

We have provided: 5914 beds over 5 years; 11,000 meals provided each night (breakfast and dinner); 400 persons that have spent at least one night as a guest; 100's of volunteers providing countless basic services; 175 volunteer hours needed every night for winter shelter season; 40 Wilson County churches from 16 traditions uniting to provide services
