American Red Cross, Greater Long Beach Chapter

  • About Us

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. This is done through services that are consistent with its Congressional Charter and the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

For over 130 years Red Cross volunteers have been guided by a single principle: to help people in need, regardless of race, religion, gender, or national origin. The Red Cross has been there, and will continue to be there - first, best, and always - for disaster victims in need of shelter and assistance.
