Mission
The mission of The Haven of Transylvania County is to assist homeless families and individuals in crisis in Transylvania County, by providing safe, temporary refuge in a clean, comfortable shelter.
About Us
The Haven operates as an 18-bed overnight shelter to temporarily house homeless men, women and children. It provides a respite for those who have been suddenly and unexpectedly thrust into homelessness; a safe, secure residence where they can help to get back on their feet.
The Haven offers and evening meal, light breakfast, laundry facilities and showers, as well as mail and telephone messaging services. The open floor plan makes it possible for trained volunteers and professional staff to monitor activity throughout the early evening and night.
