Fight Against Aids Guinee West Africa in abbreviation: FAAG West Africa is a Non Governmental, Non Profit Organization registered in Guinea and founded for the purpose of eradicating Hiv/Aids, Malaria, Tuberculosis and Poverty. We are located in Kountia, Commune de Coyah and T7, Sonfonia, Commune de Ratoma, Conakry, Republic of Guinea.

We are in Partnership with the Ministry of Health Republic of Guinea and is registered with other Health bodies such as COMITTE NATIONAL DE LUTTE CONTRE LE SIDA (C.N.L.S.), NATIONAL DU PROJECT SIDA. NUMBER, ICASSO, ICASSA, MAP and IAVI.

FAAG WEST AFRICA was founded in the year and month of June 6th, 2007 with a registered number: A/949/MEAI/MATD/CAB/DNLPAJ/2007.

Our NGO is governed by a board of Trustees made up of seven members, Six Consultative members and Six Management Team.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Among our numerous activities includes: sansiblizing and sanitization of communities, schools, Ministries, Churches, Mosques, Prisons and other bodies.

We host conferences, workshops, concerts and Cultural activities as strategical means to gain access to sansiblizing the public.

We equally distribute free of charge protective materials, preventive materials and medicines donated for children and pregnant women.

OUR MISSION:

Eradicating Hiv/Aids, Malaria, Tuberculosis and Poverty, Women Empowerment and improving the lives of children.

OUR VISION:

To make sure every child is Educated, End to Poverty and Health for All.

OUR PROJECTS:

Establishment of Hospitals, Clinics and Availability of Water to cover -HEALTH.

 Establishment of Schools both Literal and Technical to cover -EDUCATION.

Self Sustainability to cover- AGRICULTURE.

Taking in charge of the HIV AFFECTED-PREVENTION AND TREATMENT.

Orphans and Disability Care.

ACHIEVEMENT:

Presently we have established on the 1st of March, 2019, the first hospital called (ONG FAAG MEDICAL) to facilitate our work. The hospital is located at T7, Sonfonia and we are envisioned to establish same hospital in other remaining three regions of Guinea.

We have served the children and women through the donations of Vitamin A, Albendazole and this is to prevent them for infections and contamination of water-borne diseases as majority of the families does not have toilets but use the bush as their place of toilet and during the rainy season all the drop-offs will run down to the small rivers which serves as their drinking water and will contaminate their water thereby creating water-borne diseases. Multi-vitamin is for the pregnant and lactating mothers.

We have served the Disabled through the donations of Wheel chairs so that they could be mobile as to do some certain things themselves.

We have hosted conferences and workshops to sansiblize the women and youths in the communities to create awareness for the dangers of Malaria and their causes, Hiv/Aids and their causes and Tuberculosis. How to be self reliant and embracing education as one of the key ways to fight poverty.

We have acquired a land for AGRICULTURE to empower the women on Self Sustainability.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS:

Engage children to Sport and other exercise activities for their health and wellness.

Through being good role models for our children and developing positive thinking and behavior patterns in them we can help improve our children’s wellbeing, as well as teach them lifelong skills to maintain this into their adult life.

Exercise is essential for everyone, especially children. There are a lot of benefits gained from exercising, including that it fosters a positive mood and releases the stress of the day. After a day of thinking, children need to be outside in the fresh air either playing sport or simply playing.

BENEFICIARIES OF OUR PROJECTS

These hospitals including other projects are to serve the children from Poor and Poorer Families, the Orphans, the Disabled and Widows. We also take in charge of Children who are orphaned through Hiv/Aids, Ebola and others. Also we take charge of the HIV AFFECTED through PREVENTION AND TREAMENT.

 OTHER WORK WE DO:

Another important aspect of our HEALTH SERVICES are DENTAL CARE AND TREATMENT, THE OPTHORMOLOGY- EYE CARE AND TREAMENT WHERE THERE ARE INACCESSIBLE ROADS TO REACH THE COMMUNITIES: THIS IS DONE THROUGH SUPPORTS FROM INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIIONS.
