"It is the mission of the Rwamagana Lutheran School, in partnership with parents, to provide for all our students a quality educational program that will develop the knowledge, skills, abilities, and values each students needs to reach his/her full potential."

Rwamagana Lutheran School (RLS) students, teachers and staff will be a community of learners where all of us are striving to ask important questions and search for meaningful answers. To promote academic excellence, we will develop appropriately challenging academic standards for every student while also providing a safe and secure environment where standards of behavior will be clearly defined and enforced. A variety of academic and social experiences will be offered so students will become more aware of the diversity of our community, province, nation and world, and will learn to appreciate differences and understand the commonalities among all people. Opportunities will also be provided for students to develop contemporary vocational skills necessary to succeed in the world of work. Finally, a strong staff development will be implemented to help staff continue to improve and bring high academic success for all students.

In addition, Rwamagana Lutheran School will adhere to the model of Expeditionary Learning, which emphasizes high achievement through active learning, character growth, and teamwork. It harnesses the students' natural passion to learn and is a powerful method for developing the curiosity, skills, knowlege and courage needed to imagine a better world and work toward realizing it.
