WHO WE ARE

Hope for the Rural Child Foundation is a Community Based Organization that supports the education of needy children and youth, initiates other life changing opportunities for children and youth and also contributes efforts towards the development of the local community where needy children and youth live.

We are registered with Namasagali sub-county Local Government and the Kamuli District NGO Monitoring Forum in Uganda as a Community Based Organization under .We work in Namasagali sub-county in Kamuli district in Uganda.

OUR VISION

        Hope for the Rural Child Foundation envisions a society where former disadvantaged children and youth become agents of positive change in the community.

OUR MISSION

To empower orphans and other disadvantaged children and youth in Namasagali sub-county through education sponsorship and other life changing opportunities.

OUR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

·        To create opportunities for needy children and youth who dropped out of school to go back to school.

·        To initiate projects and programs for the holistic growth of children and youth.

·        To minimize cases of child abuse and child labour through mobilizing and training communities in child rights awareness.

·        To promote girl child education by embarking on community sensitization and door to door campaigns.

·        To equip out of school youth with informal skills to enable them start small income generating projects.

·        To contribute efforts towards the alleviation of poverty among the local community in Namasagali sub-county as a step to remove the economic barriers that undermine the education of children and youth.

OUR TARGET GROUP

·        Orphaned children and youth.

·        Former school going children child mothers who wish to go back to school.

·        Disabled children and youth in school and out of school.

·        Child mothers out of school who wish to go back to school.

·        Child mothers who have no interest of going back to school.

·        School going children and youth

·        Widows with a huge orphan burden.

·        Local community members.

·        Organized women groups.
