    The SSCP is restoring America’s oldest surviving passenger excursion steamer as a means of both providing programming to children and students and as catalyst towards reviving the communites of the Hudson Valley throught responsible Heritage Tourism. The restored Columbia will serve as an educational resource relating to historical and environmental issues. Docked on the west side of manhattan the vessel will offer excursions northwards into the Hudson Valley and wlll visit all 5 boroughs offering historical, cultural and educational programming benefiting families and school children throughout the region
