About Us

What is TCV Croydon?

In Croydon, the ACE (Action for Croydons Environment) Team puts in thousands of hours of conservation work each year, improving biodiversity and encouraging use of local open spaces. The Conservation Volunteers is the organisation that leads this voluntary activity, supporting individuals and groups in hands on practical activity. We work in partnership with Croydon Council and the City of London, who support our activities.

Work typically includes creating paths to improve access, pond creation and clearance, scrub control to maintain grasslands and woodland management. There are sites of varying size and character across Croydon, some in open country, others providing green space in urban areas. This is your chance to learn new skills (e.g. fence construction, coppicing) in a friendly atmosphere. Our teams look forward to seeing you!

Our goal is simply to enable both individuals and communities to work for conservation and environmental improvement in Croydon. This is your opportunity to make a contribution.
