The artistic vision of the Louisville Orchestra is to be a leader in the cultural life of Louisville through innovative and unexpected programming and activities that engage our entire community with music by creating opportunities for audiences of all ages and demographics to experience live orchestral music. The Louisville Orchestra is committed to providing audiences with multiple alternative ways to experience the Louisville Orchestra beyond the traditional concert hall by performing at neighborhood or community venues, programming multi-genre orchestral works highlighting the range of symphonic music, and commissioning new works that vitalize the orchestral literature.
