Founded in Oakland in 1891, we continue a mission of dedication to providing innovative, effective services to children, youth, and families to heal from trauma and lead healthier, productive lives.
Throughout our 133-year history, Fred Finch has left a positive impact on the lives of Bay Area young people by providing a pathway into employment and self-sufficiency. As a social service and mental health agency, Fred Finch works with some of the most vulnerable populations in California, including families that face poverty, violence, and trauma; former foster youth and formerly incarcerated youth; and young people living with autism.
We provide services through 25 specialized programs to address the needs of traditionally underserved communities and maximize our impact throughout the Bay Area and Southern California.
