We provide food for FREE We rescue edible surplus food from growers, manufacturers and retailers and distribute it free of charge to over 1,100 charities and not-for-profit organisations to feed Aussies in need. Our partners use the rescued food for nourishing meals, emergency relief packages, community pantries and much more. The need for more food is great One in five Aussies are affected by food insecurity and don’t have enough safe, nutritious food. This can badly affect their physical, emotional and social wellbeing. SecondBite makes sure that good food is getting to people who need it most, rather than to landfill. $1 donated provides enough food for up to 5 meals SecondBite is the most efficient national food rescue organisation in Australia. Our combined Community Connect and Direct Delivery models of food rescue and distribution keeps our operating costs low. This means that for every $1 you donate, we distribute enough food for up to 5 meals.
