  • About Us

Friends of Lorenzo is a private nonprofit organization established to support projects and programs at the Lorenzo State Historic Site. From its inception, its volunteers have been committed to the mission of supporting and enriching the preservation and interpretation of Lorenzo and inspiring community involvement and interest through programming, marketing, and fundraising.

The jewel of the site is the Federal style home of John Lincklaen, Holland Land Company agent and founder of Cazenovia, Lorenzo was continually occupied by the family until the property was conveyed to New York State in 1968. Overlooking Cazenovia Lake, Lorenzo State Historic Site offers an opportunity to discover the areas history and the imprint of five generations of the Lincklaen/Ledyard family.
