To empower marginalized communities by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through hands-on skills training, green entrepreneurship, and climate-smart innovations.

    About Us

MAANYI Foundation is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering marginalized rural communities in Uganda and beyond. Our mission is to create sustainable livelihood opportunities through hands-on skills training, green entrepreneurship, and climate-smart innovations.

We believe that lasting change begins with equipping people with the right tools, knowledge, and opportunities. That’s why we focus on vocational training, sustainable farming, eco-friendly enterprises, and financial literacy helping individuals, especially youth and women, build skills that lead to economic independence.

Our vision is a world where marginalized communities don’t just survive, but thrive achieving inclusive economic empowerment, environmental resilience and long-term sustainability.

At the heart of our values are equity, innovation, sustainability, and community-driven development. We work alongside local partners to ensure that solutions are practical, culturally relevant and scalable.

Currently, our programs in Uganda include permaculture farming, eco-briquette production, soap & detergent making, tailoring, recycled crafts, mushroom growing and more. These initiatives not only tackle unemployment but also promote climate-smart practices that protect the environment for future generations.
