About Us

The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide for the needs of our community through selfless service under the sign of love. We are committed to empowering individuals and families in our community and beyond with the goal of fostering independence.

For the past 72 years, the agency’s focus has been to provide help and support to those in need so they may discover and enhance their own resources, as well as develop viable coping skills that will improve their personal and social functioning. With a network of social services to help those from birth to the end of life, Catholic Charities offers the help individuals and families need, when they need it most.

Within the past few years Catholic Charities has expanded its services to the community by bringing other organizations under its umbrella, including Senior Community Services in 1999, Catholic Counseling & Consultation Center and Guadalupe Home in 2001, San Antonio Birth Doulas in 2005, and Guadalupe Community Center in 2006.
