About Us

We are professionals who help people collaborate to discuss problems, agree on facts, make decisions, seek consensus and resolve conflicts. Our members work on environmental issues and a broad range of public and organizational concerns. Some of us design, manage and carry out these collaborative and consensus-building processes. Some advise, train and coach individuals and organizations working through these processes. Some research, analyze and teach to advance new knowledge.

The Section's Mission Aims to:

• Serve those in our field, especially by providing opportunities to interact with colleagues, learn new skills and improve old ones

• Attract diverse, talented and motivated people to our profession

• Promote ethics, accountability and good practice

• Advance public understanding and use of collaborative processes.

Identify and serve the professional needs of everyone practicing in the environmental public dispute resolution field.

The Environment and Public Policy Section is associated with the Association for Conflict Resolution.
