  • About Us

Doctors for Doctors is a special project within the registered Canadian charity Global Peace Network (GPN) and is regulated by their Board of Directors. We currently work primarily in the San Juan del Sur and Matagalpa regions of Nicaragua. We provide full scholarships for young rural people to attend medical school. We are hoping to open a healthcare clinic by 2015 that will focus on maternal and neo-natal health and the health needs of marginalized, rural populations.

We increase access to primary healthcare in rural Nicaragua by empowering young people to be agents of change in their communities. We are life-long, local, life-saving.
