    The Alzheimer's Foundation of America's mission is "to provide optimal care and services to individuals confronting dementia, and to their caregivers and families--through member organizations dedicated to improving quality of life." As part of AFA's focus on care, hands-on services include a toll-free hotline, counseling by certified social workers, educational conferences and materials, training of healthcare professionals, and, through member organizations, services such as respite care, support groups and adult day programs.
