UMOJA

The Umoja Centre is based in Arusha, northern Tanzania. We offer free education and essential life skills to disadvantaged young people. This includes English, Computing, Health, Personal Development and Careers Guidance. We aim to be holistic in approach, nurturing a creative and expressive environment. Alongside traditional classes, students also partake in workshops and debates on issues that affect their lives such as HIV/AIDS, relationships, the environment and gender. We empower young people to create change in their lives and the wider community.
