  • About Us

Lesson Check-In Inc. is a nonprofit organization created to address the acute needs of under-resourced and overworked families adjusting to the hurdles of distance learning. The organization mobilizes volunteers to support families and motivate students. It connects middle and high school students with undergraduate and graduate volunteers, who will "check-in" with students and encourage them to keep up with their academic and personal goals. Volunteers lend helping hands to working parents and guardians, by serving as advocates, homework helpers, mentors, and progress trackers. The organization’s mission is to “bridge accountability gaps” through connection and community. Lesson Check-In has also partnered with the reIMAGINED project to offer art programs to students and volunteers, as a creative outlet during quarantine.
